Hey all,

I've been having some troubles with a 'fatal error' message each time I start a flight in free flight mode. I had the problem before and started from a fresh install and it went away for awhile, but now it is back. I thought it might have something to do with the fact I just installed FSInn, but I don't think that's it. I run FSX with acceleration, 2GB ram, geforce 6800xt.

I am starting fresh again, so any tips and pointers on settings that might cause the problem I was having would be appreciated!

Hi, Pooley. First, I’m sure you’ve following the steps in http://flightsim.apollo3.com//docs/fsinn/connectiontovatsim.htm . Of course as mentioned in the link, Version 1.3 is the latest and a full uninstall of FSCopilot/FSInn is important when changing versions.

There are times when FSX has a problem with the current default saved flight. The problem you described is symptoms of that. You can make FSX restore its shipped default by removing your immediate saving flight.

To do this edit your fsx.cfg file and remove everything past the equal “=” symbol in the line, “SITUATION=”. It’s in the [USERINTERFACE] section.

After my first attempt at a test flight between Comox and Vancouver, the same old problem arose. It seems that a freeze is activated seemingly at random when I attempt to change the autopilot settings in the Beechcraft King Air. I've had similar freeze problems in the past with other panels, however, this time I'm working with a fresh install of FSX with expansion pack, the only thing I've added is FSCopilot and FSInn. Anyone have and idea as to what sort of problem I'm facing?

Are you running in Full Screen or Windowed mode?

Some video hardware and drivers have problems with running popup windows when running full screen. Some will actually lockup when switching tasks if you run a full screen program. Try running fSX in the windowed mode and see if you still get the problem.

Once I loaded up my flight, I attempted to switch out of full screen mode, which also caused the program to lock up. I also uninstalled FScopilot/FSInn so I'm down to just the base program plus expansion. Is it possible this is a hardware (graphics card) problem?

I reviewed the messages. It's not clear to me which version of FSInn you're running. Can you tell me which version of FSInn you installed?
