OK, my turn. I have FSX and FS9 running on my system, both on separate physical drives.

I have been through all the troubleshooting measures here and a couple from my book of FS (grin).

Here's what happened:

I went online this afternoon with FSX. Started up FSInn, connected to VATSIM with no issues. I was waiting for a friend whom I was going to continue helicopter instruction with.

I saw the message scroll when he logged in (and we were on voice together). I couldn't see him at all. I could hear him. He could see me. I went through all the troubleshooting measures as mentioned - still couldn't see him.

I shut off FSX and started FS9. Started FSInn, connected to VATSIM, and saw him perfectly...and he saw me.

I have added nothing but Real Environment Extreme for FS9 yesterday afternoon - and at that point when I connected to VATSIM on both FSX and FS9, I could see folks as normal.

Any suggestions?

I might be missing something, but if you're saying you couldn't and now you can, I believe it would have to be troubleshooted when you can't. Maybe you had a temporary glitch. If it becomes consistent I'll be happy to go over the steps with you to resolve it... while the problem is happening.
