I'm writing on behalf of my friend Gordon McCann ( BAA229) he has requested I get in touch with you on his behalf, I hope you don't mind.
Gordon's computer crashed absolutely last week-end and he has had to re-install Windows etc from scratch. Having done that and got FSX back up and running, he now cannot join your Apollo channel as he has lost the password, -- can you assist please ??
His CID is -- BAA229

Very many thanx for any assistance you can offer Larry.
Have a great year.

Andy

Hi, Andy. In order to make it easier for your friend and everybody else to find this information, I’ll be moving the topic from the “General” forum to one of the forums in the “Games” subforums, specifically the “FSInn Support” Forum. The General forum is for topics that don’t have any related forums. Since there are a number of areas on Apollo III, including email, web page and ftp access, and other utilities, recovering passwords for some of the other areas would be different.

For the FSD server click on the front page ( http://flightsim.apollo3.com ) and click on the “Recover my CID” option.

Let me know if you have problems.

Sorry to use this old thread Larry, but I couldn't access the forum I wanted

Hi Larry,
I've contacted you in the past seeking advice and find you a very willing and helpfull person
I must start with an apology for messing your TS2 server earlier tonight, I created 2 servers FAEC & Old Boys Flying Club
Then it was pointed out to me that password protection is not allowed, -- I'm sorry about that.
Until recently, I ran an online flying club for a VA and we had a Teamspeak 3 server, -- I have left the VA last week-end and the guys I flew with regular
have asked me to keep the flying meetings going. So, because I can't use the VA teamspeak any longer, I tried to set up a server on Apollo, but I'm not very good
at that sort of thing.
Could you please advice me as to the best way to go about -- first of all -- using your TS2 server initially as an interim Comms set-up. Three of us have tried
tonight to test the system and whilst we could hear each other, -- the reception wasn't too good.
Secondly can you advise me how I can best go about renting a TS3 server and setting it up, -- or, do you have any alternative suggestions which would enable us
to communicate among ourselves when online.
At the moment we have 9 regular members, all of whom are registered with your Apollo channel
Many thanks for any assistance you can give.

Andy

How are you doing, Andy. If the forum system is broken in that you can’t create a new topic, I believe that’s something very important that should be addressed. Thanks in advance for working with me on the issue. If you’re having a problem with it, others are.

There aren’t many messages on the system. I hope that every topic will have a resolution and serve as a database research facility for people that are having problems. After reading your new entry, I looked for a clickable “[SOLVED]” feature on the forum. I thought I had that activated and was anxious for the users to use it when their issues were resolved. I see it’s not turned on and will work on it.

Most systems will lock treads after a length of time so that unrelated things won’t be tacked on older threads. I won’t lock the other treads but will leave them open to the users who have new information to tack on to the topics that are related. If the information isn’t related, I’ll like in this case advise the users to start a new topic that relates to a new issue or subject they wish to discuss.

You can use http://www.apollo3.com/feedback to report a problem if for some reason you can’t start a new topic and I’ll try to test the forum to fix what is broken. I have reviewed the forum and the option for starting a new topic is, “[New Thread]”. Please test it and let me know if it’s broken by describing the error message that you’re getting.

Thanks in advance for picking a subject that is related to the content of your new topic for a new topic. I’ll stay with your new topic until the issues of it is resolved. It’ll also search as a database research facility for others that might have a similar question or have ideas and suggestions to contribute to it.

Thanks in advance for your contributions in this manner.
