Some people like to keep copies of their received email. They should remove the email from their inbox, as this is a public spool area. It not only slows down your access to your email each time you check your mail, but it also puts an unnecessary drain on your service provider. Your spool might also get so big that it becomes almost impossible for you to even access it.

On a regular bases you should remove all the mail from your inbox. This can be done by creating a folder.

You can do this in Microsoft Outlook by right clicking on the area in your list of folders where you want to move the message to. Then click the option to create a “New Folder”. Type in the name for the folder. Then Click on OK.

You can move messages to the new folder by selecting one or a group of selected messages, then click on “Move to Folder”. Navigate to where you want the messages moved, then click on OK.

Depending on the Email type, the moved messages might be marked for delete in your Inbox. You may have to click on 'Edit' then Click on 'Purge Deleted Messages' to complete the process for clearing your Inbox.

Using the Apollo III Webmail program to sort your email is just as easy. Click on Folders from the main page, then click on “Add a folder” to create a new folder. From the Inbox, select the messages by putting a check mark in the messages you want to move; then select the folder you want to move the messages to; then click on Move.

Our email outbox stays in a sending mode; therefore, no email goes out! We do notice incoming sometimes but sending just hangs.

BTW, our inbox messages has been purged!

Hi, Phil.

Your description doesn't have anything to do with the subject matter of this tread. It would have been best for you to create a new thread. Having a new thread for a different issue will make it easier to point other users to answers to their questions and to use the threads for reference points.

If you're having problems organizing your email or making folders and sub-folders, this would be an appropriate thread to put your question or comment.

I'll make a new thread that will relate to your new issue. Please click on http://forum.apollo3.com/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=109&topic_id=20&mesg_id=20&page= for a discussion on this new subject.
