Hi guys,

I have problem with FSinn and I had not found anyone with something similar. What has happend to me is something I can't solve out.

Approx. half a year ago, from day to day with no SW/HW/driver update my FS inn stopped receiving incoming voice. I was flying and ATC must have gone crazy off me, because he told me to contact him, I called him, but didn't hear anything. I kept calling him, but than he wrote me that he could hear me. So the problem was that my FS inn didnt receive voice.

I swear, nothing has changed in the computer since it worked. I also was using FSinn for a year and I definetely know how to set it up.

It was FS9 + FSinn1.2+FScopilot 1.6. I found that SQWKBOX 3 was working so I switched to it despite the fact, I really prefer FSinn for its gadgets :-).

Later on I decicded to switch to FSX. I had FS9 crashing and so I wanted to move on.

Problem with FSinn is still there though. I had formated and reinstall computer twice, just in case I missed something at first time. Nope. I didn't. Problem is still there.

I even installed FSX and FSinn on my laptop and went to my ISP if there is not some block from them. They havent found anything that could possibly cause that. Also, I played with security in my router and my PC, nor disabling everything helped. The fact, that my laptop does have the same problem could possibly point on my ISP, but as I said - I have been there and one technician was trying for more than half an hour...

What I have foung is that the bars on VVL that are changing colors are maybe a hint. The middle horizontal one, that should be green if Im connected stays violet (or whatever color it is) and mouse pointer says it is pending.

As I said, I've done practically everything I could come up with but none of it helped. I think my last chance might be sending the debug log to someone who knows the code, but on the other hand I know this is most like my problem only and I fully understand the fact that now when version 1.3/1.7 are still in beta, there isnt much room for it.

If anybody can come up with some idea, I will be more than happy to try it...

First, take FSInn version 1.2 out of the picture. Version 1.3 supersedes it. Even though it’s beta, FSInn1.3 is more stable and works better overall. Also, FSX is no longer supported by FSInn1.2.

When changing versions it’s important to do a full uninstall of FSCopilot/FSInn.

Check and verify that UPnP is turned on in your router.

How many sound devices do you have in your computer? After insuring that you check each device, insure that he volume sliders are turned up for each tested device.

Dont worry, I moved to 1.3. And I did uninstall 1.2 properly before 1.3. And if I didn't, reinstalling of my system would done enough.

All the UPnP is enabled and once Im online on VATSIM the status of autodetecion of UPnP as well as port forwarding is green and saying ok. I tried before to change ports, also I did try to connect my PC directly to network with no success.

I have on board AC97 sound card, which never used (always disabled in BIOS). Im using SB Audigy for my sound. With the troubles I have, I tried to take SB out and use the on-board AC97 - again, the same result. No change. :-)

First, I appreciate you taking the time for the debugging and trouble shooting. Most likely many of the things that will occur to me are simple and you've already done them. But I have to ask anyway.

You didn't make a reference to the FSFDT volume sliders and the FSFDT Control panel device settings. Did you test between the direct sound and wave settings? Also, did you insure the volume sliders were sufficiently turned to the left?

Yes I just tried. Being online now i played with the volumes and devices.. No help. The thing is for me important now, is that it doesnt connect in the VVL window - the bar doesnt turn green. But I have no idea, how to solve this one out. I think, maybe post here debug log, that FSinn runs internaly. Maybe someone will find something in it.

I will send it, once I will arrive in about and hour and half.

Ok, I moved on a little bit again. My flying PC has lost the motherboard - this was the cause of the crashes I had. However, I tried to install FSX on my laptop with Vista and I do have absolutely the SAME problem.

I tried to connect tonight to controller, he could hear me, I couldnt hear him. I have two debug logs from FWinn which Im ataching. If anyone could find something in it I will really appreciate it.

However, another system, another pc and yet the same trouble. I think, I will have to go to my ISP once more... What else could it be other than them blocking somehow something?

Antivirus off, UPnP on, port forwarding on, windows firewall off

You say you're running Vista

Question: Do you hear ANY sounds from flight sim?
