Hi Folks.

I posted this on the MCDU FSInn forum way back in August but received no reply so am trying here!

I remember back in FSInn 1.2 (or was it 1.1 or even 1.0!!) that this Headphone/Speaker selection function used to work. (I mean those speaker icons in the VVL bar).

Rather than a selection function, I used to use it as a "Selective Mute".

At night I would use 'phones' with the speaker volume turned to zero or by day I would use speakers and ignore the 'phones'

So, should I have ATC on COMM1, another pilot on COMM2 and an open VA voice channel selected in the "bar" ('Altair' in this example), if ATC called me I could effectively 'mute' the other two channels by switching their sound to the alternative output device.

I do have completely separate outputs from the sound card for 'phones and speakers ('phones on 'Earphones', speakers on 'Line Out) but this no longer seems to work in FSInn 1.3. (Did it work in 1.2? I honestly can't remember but it certainly did in one of the previous versions because I definitely used it as a 'mute' function).

In FSInn 1.3, selecting/deselecting the speaker icons on any or all channels has no effect whatever; I still have full sound on both.

It's not the end of the World; normally "Hang on Chaps, I'm talking to ATC" will give me the period of silence I need from the private channels but it would be nice to hear from anyone who might have suggestions on how to get this function back to how it originally worked.

I'll run some test on the Version 1.3 over the weekend and let you know if I can make it work the way you describe.

If someone else is using something similar, or can check it in the meantime, I'm sure they'll chime in.
