I just had a new problem.... I was attempting to get the voice ATIS for a flight and I couldn't understand it because the radio traffic was so badly broken and choppy. This also happened when I tried to contact the tower for Clearance. I noticed that the only way I could fix it that I could see was to mute all of the FSX sounds, otherwise it did it no matter who I tried to talk to . Thank you ahead for the fix .... I'm sure im just retarded and it is prob. really simple.

The voice programs are going to work better if they are on a sound device that’s not built into the motherboard. The sound device built into the motherboard shares resources with the motherboard bus and is not as efficient.

The conflicts you describe also come from having two sound sources use one device. If you want to have a higher quality sound for both sound sources you will have to install a secondary sound device (sound card).

What I would do in this regard is by a quality Sound Blaster card. Many will recommend buying a USB head set for use with VATSIM.

Finally, check between the wave and direct sound options in the FSFDT Control Panel and use the one that works best with your system.
